This policy explains what SilentBox collects and how we use it. By using the Service you acknowledge this policy.
1. What we collect
- Account data: login email (private), random public username for rooms, password hash, plan/tier, Stripe billing customer id.
- Content you upload: files in your cloud, drop payloads, room photos/videos/messages, and optional support messages.
- Technical data: basic request logs (IP, timestamps, paths) for security, rate limits, and abuse prevention.
- Payment data: handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
2. How we use data
- Keep the service running and secure
- Process payments and prevent duplicate subscriptions
- Show only your random username to other people in rooms — never your email
- Respond to support requests you send
- Meet legal obligations when required
3. User content disclaimer
Content uploaded by users is theirs. We do not actively monitor private files for meaning or legality. We may access or remove content when required by law, to investigate abuse reports, or to operate backups. Recipients you share with (drop links, room links + access codes) can view that content — including people without SilentBox accounts for rooms.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Stripe (payments)
- Infrastructure providers hosting SilentBox
- Authorities when legally required
- People you explicitly share links/codes with
5. Retention
Cloud files remain until you delete them or close your account (subject to soft-delete / backup windows). Drops expire per your settings. Rooms wipe for viewers when empty; operational copies may linger briefly. Account records may be kept as needed for billing and legal compliance.
6. Security
Files are encrypted at rest. Transport uses HTTPS. Access codes for rooms and drop passwords are hashed. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Your choices
You can download or delete your files, delete drops/rooms, change your password, or request account deletion in the app. Support: Help.
8. Children
SilentBox is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. International users
Servers may be located outside your country. By using SilentBox you consent to processing in the locations where we operate.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
